The nominations are piling up, and Northeast Georgia has plenty of favorites to brag about.
Across the region, readers are giving their local favorites the recognition they deserve. Thousands of nominations have already been received for hundreds of businesses and service providers in Now Georgia’s Best of Northeast Georgia campaign, and there’s still time to add yours.
The campaign celebrates the restaurants, shops, attractions and services that help make Northeast Georgia feel like home. From longtime local institutions to newer businesses building a loyal following, nominations offer readers a chance to recognize the people and places that have earned their trust.
And for those businesses, a nomination means someone noticed.
Maybe it was a memorable meal, a repair handled with care, or an employee who took a few extra minutes to help. Those everyday experiences give people a reason to return, and a reason to recommend a business to someone else.

A little hometown pride goes a long way
The Best of Northeast Georgia ballot features nine categories and more than 100 opportunities to nominate your favorite businesses, restaurants, service providers, and attractions. You don’t have to fill out the entire ballot to make your favorites count.
If your favorite isn’t already listed, write it in. With hundreds already nominated, readers are helping fill the ballot with the places they know, love, and rely on.
There’s still time to nominate
Nominations are open through Oct. 12 at bestofnortheastgeorgia.com.
After nominations close, voting will run Oct. 26 through Nov. 23. Now Georgia will reveal the winners at noon on Nov. 25, just in time to give readers some local inspiration for Black Friday shopping and the holiday season.
For now, the next step is simple: Think about the businesses you recommend when someone asks where to eat, shop or find help. Then take a few minutes to put those names on the ballot.
Share the hometown love
The fun extends beyond Northeast Georgia.
