The ‘Best Of’ ballot is open. Who gets your nod?

There’s plenty to vote on this election year, but here’s one ballot you can have a little fun with before the midterms.

Now Georgia’s Best of Northeast Georgia nominations are open, giving you the chance to put your favorite restaurants, businesses, attractions and services in the running for some hometown bragging rights. From longtime local institutions to newer businesses quickly building a loyal following, this is your opportunity to recognize the people and places that have earned your trust.

The Best of Northeast Georgia ballot features nine categories and more than 100 opportunities to nominate your favorites. Food, shopping, entertainment, family activities, professional services, home services and more are all part of the campaign.

And you don’t have to fill out the entire ballot.

Know a burger worth driving across town for? Nominate it. Have a hairstylist you wouldn’t trade for anyone? Put their name down. Love a local festival, coffee shop, nonprofit or family attraction? Make sure it gets noticed.

Nominations continue through Oct. 12 at bestofnortheastgeorgia.com. If your favorite isn’t already listed, write it in.

After nominations close, voting runs Oct. 26 through Nov. 23. Now Georgia will reveal the winners at noon on Nov. 25, just in time for Black Friday shopping.
