A Nicholson man has been arrested on multiple serious charges following a lengthy investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, Antonio DeJesus Trejo, 34, was taken into custody last week and initially charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Police say further investigation led to additional charges including rape, incest and two counts of aggravated child molestation.

The case was spearheaded by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Investigator, with support from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the district attorney’s office. Officials executed search and arrest warrants last week as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities have not released further details due to the sensitive nature of the case and the involvement of minors. The investigation remains active.
