
A Muscogee County teacher was arrested by the school district’s police department Thursday March 26.
According to jail records Orithius Jaques Hardge was charged with 65 counts of theft by deception. Hardge was released on bond that same night.
There are various offense dates listed for theft by deception from 2022 to 2025. It is unclear what exactly prompted the charges, and the Muscogee County School District Police referred questions about the arrest to the school district.
Now Georgia is awaiting a response from the school district regarding the arrest.
