Life in Motion: Winning in Rio

Paralympian McKenzie Coan of Clarkesville, Georgia celebrates her gold medal-winning performance in the women’s 50-meter freestyle with her family in Rio. McKenzie is pictured here with her parents, Teresa and Dr. Marc Coan and brother Eli following the race on September 9.

The 50-meter freestyle event was Coan’s first gold of the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She also claimed gold in the 400-meter freestyle on September 14.
