LaGrange man stabbed then arrested after domestic dispute

Armed store clerk thwarts robbery in LaGrange (NowGeorgia.com)

On April 15, 2026, Officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to 213 A Handley Street in reference to a person stabbed. Upon Officer’s arrival, it was determined that Trevonne Blackmon was suffering from a stab wound to his leg, which was deemed non-life threatening.

The Lagrange Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division was contacted and responded to the scene. During the course of the investigation, Detectives were able to determine that Blackmon was stabbed when his significant other acted in self-defense during a domestic violence incident. Blackmon was taken into custody without incident and charged with Aggravated Assault and Cruelty to a child in the 3rd degree.
