Habersham Community Theatre presents a kid-friendly tale of pirates and adventure Oct. 28–30 in Clarkesville.
Based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale of “Treasure Island,” this pirate yarn is updated and told through the eyes of young Jim Hawkins. After a bad day at school, Jim’s mother insists he eat something healthy. He refuses and is sent to his room, not suspecting that his great pirate adventure is about to begin. When the pirate Billy Bones steps right into his bedroom, suddenly we’re swept into the action of high seas adventure including a treasure map, Long John Silver, Ben Gunn, and a cast of rowdy pirates.
Tickets are $10, and the show times are 7:30 p.m., Oct. 28–29; and 2 p.m., Oct. 30. For more information and to purchase tickets online, visit www.habershamtheater.org.
