HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. — The Habersham County Aquatic Center is set to reopen Friday, April 17, after completing a nearly month-long pool resurfacing project.
The facility has been closed since March 23 while crews carried out scheduled maintenance aimed at improving safety and extending the life of the pool. Work included draining the pool, preparing the surface, completing resurfacing, and refilling.

Officials said the upgrades mark a significant improvement to the facility and will provide a better experience for swimmers.
“We’ve made great progress over the past few weeks,” aquatic center officials said in an update. “The transformation has been a significant upgrade, and we’re looking forward to everyone enjoying the improved facility.”
The aquatic center will resume normal operating hours upon reopening.
Aquatic center staff thanked patrons for their patience during the closure and said they are excited to welcome visitors back.
