CLARKESVILLE — Habersham County officials are asking drivers attending the Habersham Central High School graduation ceremony Friday, May 22, to follow a designated traffic pattern when leaving campus after the event.
Law enforcement officers will direct traffic following the ceremony, and all motorists will be required to obey officers’ instructions as vehicles exit the school grounds.
According to the announced traffic plan, vehicles leaving the main high school parking lot will be allowed to turn right toward Dicks Hill Parkway and Mount Airy or left toward the four-way stop at Camp Creek Parkway and Highway 197.

Once vehicles reach the four-way intersection, all traffic will be required to turn right onto Camp Creek Parkway, directing vehicles away from Cornelia.
Drivers leaving from behind the Ninth Grade Academy will only be permitted to turn left onto Owens Circle toward Camp Creek Road. At the intersection of Camp Creek Road and Owens Circle, drivers will then be required to turn right toward Cornelia.
Meanwhile, vehicles leaving from the front of the Ninth Grade Academy near Raider Stadium will only be allowed to turn left onto Highway 197 toward Clarkesville.
Officials encouraged attendees to plan ahead for delays and follow the posted traffic flow to help ease congestion following the graduation ceremony.
