Fundraiser surpasses $1M in honor of Major Alex Klinner

Donations surpass $1M in honor of Major Alex Klinner (Go Fund Me)

A fundraiser in honor of an Auburn airman killed during Operation Epic Fury has surpassed $1M in donations. Major Alex Klinner was one of six US Air Force members killed in a military crash in Iraq March 12, 2026. Klinner is survived by a wife and three children including a two-year-old and seven-month-old twins.

“Alex was more than a serviceman. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and the kind of person who would quietly step in to help anyone who needed it. He embodied what it means to be a servant leader. His loss has left an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him,” the Go Fund Me page states in part.

Over 13 thousand donations have been made to date totaling more than $1.4M. The organizer of the fundraiser issued a statement of gratitude for the help which will go towards the family. “The outpouring of love and generosity from the American people and the global community has been overwhelming. Every donation, message, prayer, and share has reminded us that we are not walking through this alone.”

The message also recognizes the other service members killed in the crash with links to each fundraiser. You can donate here: Fundraiser by Sarah Rose Harrill : Honoring Major Alex Klinner — Supporting Libby & Children
