
JASPER, Ga. — A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of a man who died after being shot at the Department of Veterans Affairs clinic in Jasper, a case that has drawn attention across North Georgia.
Nic Crews was identified as the victim in the shooting at the Jasper VA Clinic. Authorities have identified a suspect in the case, and the investigation remains ongoing.

“We have friends and family able to comment on the tragedy, and a GoFundMe has been set up to support Nic Crews’ family,” said Marc Serber in a message to Now Georgia. “Any awareness raised for the fund would be greatly appreciated.”
