Claire Roberts DeLand, age 68 of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 19, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Baron and Ethel Shipp Roberts. Mrs. DeLand was a retired church secretary and avid musician. She was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church and in her spare time enjoyed photography, bird watching, the beach, and raising butterflies.
Surviving are husband, Rev. Terrill DeLand of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy & Chad Norrell of Dahlonega; sister, Kathryn Brannan of Jackson, MS; cousins, Bill (Carol) Coady, Patrick Coady, Mary Ellen Kanze, Tina Eileen (Mark) Russell all of Paradise, CA; step grandchildren, Taylor Hilyer and Hanna Hilyer.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
