CLARKESVILLE, Ga. — Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Georgia will host a Cinco de Mayo-themed fundraiser and one-day ReStore sale on Saturday, May 9, offering food, discounts and a raffle to support local home-building efforts.
The event will feature freshly made chicken tacos served with salsa, cilantro and onions. Meals will cost $10 per plate and include a soda. Each purchase will also enter attendees into a raffle for a $50 gift card to the Habitat ReStore.
Food service will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the ReStore will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to the fundraiser meal, the ReStore will hold a one-day, 50% off sale on furniture, home décor, appliances and other donated goods.
All proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Georgia’s home-building programs, which provide safe and affordable housing for families in the region.
The event will take place at 1085 Rocky Branch Road in Clarkesville.
Organizers said the fundraiser is about more than food and shopping, emphasizing its impact on housing needs across the community.
“Every visit, every purchase and every plate shared helps us build more than homes—it helps us build hope,” the organization said in a statement.
Families are encouraged to attend and support the effort through food purchases and ReStore shopping.
