LaGrange Police use flock cameras to recover stolen vehicle after chase

LaGrange Police used flock cameras to recover a stolen vehicle after two juveniles led law enforcement on a chase there.

On August 5, 2026, the LaGrange Police Department was notified of a stolen vehicle in the area of Bell Street. Within 13 minutes, officers with the LaGrange Police Department, with assistance from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office, were able to locate the vehicle using Flock cameras throughout the city.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Ragland Street at Woods Way. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens and the driver fled, thus initiating a vehicle pursuit. After a brief pursuit, the driver lost control on Niles Street and the vehicle exited the roadway, striking a fence. The driver and passenger both fled on foot but were apprehended by officers of the LaGrange Police Department at a nearby apartment complex.

Both the driver and passenger were juveniles. No injuries were reported. The stolen vehicle was returned to the victim / owner.
