A Gainesville babysitter was charged with felony assault after a child in her care was hurt and nearly killed, police say.
Officers arrested and charged 23-year-old Abby Elizabeth Chosewood with felony cruelty to children and felony aggravated assault.
A news release from the police department says that in February 2023, Chosewood allegedly suffocated and/or strangled a one-year-old child causing bodily harm.
Chosewood was booked at the Hall County Jail.
