
ATHENS, Ga. — Three Athens men face multiple felony charges after law enforcement officers executed search warrants at two locations and seized firearms, marijuana and more than $17,000 in cash.
According to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, authorities served search warrants on June 26 at residences in the 200 block of Rocksprings Court and the 100 block of Madison Avenue. During the searches, officers recovered seven firearms, approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana and $17,339 in U.S. currency.
Police arrested 22-year-old Jaylen Brown, 21-year-old Tedero Phillips, and 19-year-old Doukyius Clark, all of Athens. Each is charged with violating the Georgia Street Gang Act, possession of firearms during the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in public housing.
The ACCPD Gang Unit oversaw the search with assistance from the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force and ACCPD’s Strategic Response Team and K-9 Unit.
