ATHENS, Ga. — A 30-year-old Athens man died early Monday after being struck by a vehicle moments after crashing on Old Hull Road, according to Athens-Clarke County police.
Police responded to the area of 600 Old Hull Road at approximately 5:55 a.m. Sept. 21.
Investigators said a Nissan Frontier was traveling east when it crossed the centerline, left the roadway, and struck a ditch. The driver, identified as Brayan Castro-Delgado, exited the pickup and entered the roadway.
A GMC Sierra traveling west on Old Hull Road then struck Castro-Delgado. He died at the scene.

This marks Athens-Clarke County’s 10th fatal crash of 2026.
