ALTO, Ga. — A barn and several vehicles were destroyed in an early morning fire Tuesday in Banks County.
Banks County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the fire at 3935 Old Highway 441 in Alto shortly after 2 a.m. Sept. 15.
Firefighters arrived to find the detached, approximately 3,000-square-foot barn fully engulfed in flames. The building and several vehicles stored inside were declared a total loss.
The occupants were home when the fire broke out. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters remained at the scene until shortly after 5 a.m.
The fire is believed to have been accidental, but the Banks County Fire Department is investigating the cause, said Fire Chief Steve Nichols.
