Mary Ann Maxwell Brown

Mary Ann Maxwell Brown, age 60 of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Born in Clarkesville on December 26, 1965, Mary was the daughter of the late Eugene and Emma Jean Moore Maxwell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband Alex Marvin Brown and infant sister Sally Maxwell. Mrs. Brown was employed with Fieldale Farms with over 25 years of loyal service. She enjoyed going to auctions, listening to gospel music, and going to concerts. Mary adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She will lovingly be remembered by her fun and living spirit, and one who was very giving with everything she had. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children Alex Brown, Tatum Brown (Marissa), Barbara Lopez (Edgar), Donna Burton (Daniel), Dophnie Brown (John), Janice Brown, and Ashley Dove (Chris), as well as twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Hillside Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 6-8 PM.
