
An 18-year-old suspect is in custody for a sexual assault and armed robbery on the Columbus Riverwalk according to the Columbus Police Department. Raheem Castle is being detained in the Muscogee County Jail for multiple charges including aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, armed robbery and kidnapping.
On July 6, 2026, Columbus Police Officers responded to the area of the Riverwalk behind the 1300 block of Victory Drive in reference to an armed robbery and sexual assault.
Following an investigation by CPD’s Special Victims Unit, Castle was identified as the suspect. On July 27, 2026, Castle was taken into custody.
Castle’s is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. Anyone with additional information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Columbus Police Department’s Special Victims Unit at 706-225-3164.
