HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. — Duncan Bridge Road and Willingham Avenue have reopened following a fuel spill that forced portions of the roads to be closed for several hours Friday morning. The spill left the Duncan Bridge Road covered in a slick film.
Baldwin Police Chief Chris Jones tells Now Georgia the fuel leaked from a vendor truck that was traveling to Fieldale. The spill extended from the GA 365 intersection, east to Fieldale headquarters on Gainesville Highway (Willingham Avenue) in Baldwin.

Authorities said rain caused the spill to spread.
The Environmental Protection Agency and state Commercial Motor Vehicle Division were both called to the scene. The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office reported the roads were reopened shortly before 10 a.m.
