
Carla Jean Nations Myers, age 64, of Demorest, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Born in Demorest, Georgia, on April 14, 1962, she was a daughter of the late Carlos Jefferson Nations and Bernice Imogene Allen Nations. Carla was a devoted homemaker who found joy in caring for those she loved. She was a woman with a warm heart and a friendly spirit who never met a stranger. Her outgoing personality and love for conversation made it easy for her to form lasting friendships wherever she went. Above all, Carla treasured her family, and the memories she created with them will forever be held close in their hearts. She was of the Baptist faith and found comfort in her faith throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Walter Myers.
Survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa “Pandy” & Ronald Sosebee, Melanie & Alfred McConnell, and Carol & Sidney Tench; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends who will cherish her memory.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from Friendly Mission Baptist Church with Rev. Danny O’Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026.
