TFS athletes, coach earn GIAA All-State honors

TALLULAH FALLS — Several athletes from the Tallulah Falls School athletic program earned postseason recognition from the Georgia Independent Athletic Association following successful soccer and baseball seasons.

The TFS boys soccer team placed two players on the GIAA All-State team, while the girls program had one selection.

Senior Petar Gromiko and junior Tyson Hall represented the Indians after helping lead the team to a Final Four appearance.

Gromiko, a native of Belgrade, Serbia, scored eight goals and recorded seven assists while playing multiple positions throughout the season. He also earned All-Region honors and was selected to participate in the GIAA All-Star Game.

Hall, of Mount Airy, contributed four goals and five assists as a key member of the Indians lineup.

For the Lady Indians, junior LB Kafsky earned All-State recognition after leading the team with 22 goals and five assists. The Clarkesville standout now ranks second in program history in career goals scored. Kafsky also received All-Region honors and was selected for the GIAA All-Star Game.

On the baseball diamond, senior Ashton Roache and head coach Justin Pollock were recognized by the GIAA for their accomplishments during the 2026 season.

Roache, of Nassau, Bahamas, was named All-State for the third time in his career, becoming just the third player in school history to earn All-State honors at least three times.

The senior slugger finished the season batting .483 with four home runs. He set single-season school records with 36 RBIs, 47 runs scored and 16 doubles, while also establishing himself as the program’s all-time leader in multiple statistical categories.

Pollock was selected to coach in the GIAA All-Star Game after guiding the Indians through another successful season. He enters the offseason with 99 career high school coaching victories.

Roache was also selected for the All-Star Game but will be unable to participate.
