
The Phenix City Police Department is looking for new leads in a homicide case that happened five years ago. On the evening of June 1, 2021, at approximately 9:15 pm, a shooting occurred at 1500 11th Avenue, Apt 108-A in Phenix City, AL.
The victim in the case was Sharmeethia Mason. She was a student at Columbus Tech and was pursuing a career as a pharmacist. She is survived by her daughter, mother, father, sisters, and brothers.

On the evening of her death, several gunshots were heard by witnesses who called 911. Upon arrival, responding officers found Sharmeethia Mason deceased on her front porch from apparent gunshot wounds.
Multiple witnesses were interviewed and leads were followed. However, all leads have been exhausted in connection with this case. The Phenix City Police Department is looking for any new leads that can revive efforts towards solving this homicide.
This case is offering a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offender.
