A woman who was booted from Columbus City Council chambers during the public agenda last month has been arrested in Harris County for multiple charges. The Georgia Gazette reports Jessica Warchal was booked into the Harris County Jail May 14, 2026.

Warchal is charged with simple battery against police officer/LE Dog/corrections or detention officer, terroristic threats and acts, obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and disruption or interference with operation of public schools.

The arrest comes exactly one month after Warchal was escorted from council chambers by several Muscogee County Sheriff’s deputies April 14, 2026.

Warchal, a frequent presence at council was scheduled to make remarks about “the purveyors of misinformation” but was promptly booted from the meeting in April for failing to follow basic rules of the public agenda. She refused to give her city or county of residence which is required by all citizens appearing on the public agenda.

Warchal told the mayor at that time providing her name and address was against her constitutional rights. Mayor Skip Henderson disagreed and Warchal was escorted out of council chambers by sheriff’s deputies.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office was unavailable for comment about the incident there May 14, 2026, and what exactly prompted the multiple charges.
