HART COUNTY, Ga. — A Northeast Georgia man is being held in the Hart County Jail after deputies arrested him on multiple felony warrants out of Ohio, including rape and unlawful sexual conduct charges involving a minor.

According to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, deputies made contact with Anthony William Savko, 42, of Eastanollee, on May 6 at a location on Knox Bridge Crossing in Hart County.

Authorities said Savko was found to have active warrants from Stark County, Ohio, on the following charges:

  • Two counts of rape
  • One count of gross sexual imposition
  • One count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor

Deputies contacted the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, which confirmed the warrants and advised that Ohio authorities would extradite Savko on the charges, according to Sheriff Chris Carroll.

Savko was taken into custody and transported to the Hart County Jail without incident.
