TOCCOA, Ga. — Toccoa police have arrested two men in connection with a March 10 shooting on Wood Street that investigators say may be gang-related.

Following what the police department described as an extensive investigation, officers executed multiple search warrants as they worked to identify those involved and remove illegal firearms and narcotics from the community, according to the Toccoa Police Department.

Zachary Mulwee, 22, of Toccoa, was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute a Schedule III controlled substance. Police said Mulwee is affiliated with the Sex Money Murder set of the Bloods criminal street gang. Additional gang-related charges are pending.

Hayden Setren, 19, of Toccoa, who was wanted in connection with the shooting, turned himself in at the Stephens County Jail on March 23. He is charged with aggravated assault.

“This type of violent, gang-related activity has no place in our community,” Toccoa Police Chief Bruce Carlisle said in a statement. “Our investigators worked tirelessly to identify those involved and take swift action. We will continue to pursue individuals who engage in this kind of behavior and hold them accountable.”

Carlisle added that the department will continue “strong enforcement and continued pressure” against violent crime.

The Toccoa Police Department thanked the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol for assisting in the investigation.

Authorities said the case remains active as investigators pursue additional leads. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Toccoa Police Department. Tips can be provided anonymously.
