Gainesville police arrested and charged a woman with felony murder after police say she shot a man during a fight.
Just after 6 a.m. Sunday, October 24, officers responded to a report of a shooting at Pine Cove Apartments where they found a man who was shot. Hall County EMS transported him to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators charged 34-year-old Sarah Voss of Gainesville with felony murder and aggravated assault. They believe Voss and the victim knew each other and got into an altercation that escalated to gunfire.
Voss is being held at the Hall County Jail. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The GBI is assisting in the investigation.
