The Columbus Police Department reported zero incidents after hundreds gathered for multiple events Saturday March 28, 2026. There was a heavy police presence in Uptown, and the police were sporting a new look with many of them wearing cowboy hats. Police took to social media crediting the new Western look with a positive public outcome.

“Between the added presence and a little Western flair, our officers did what they do best: kept things safe while actually engaging with the community. Turns out, the brims did their part too,” police posted on Facebook.
