CLEVELAND, Ga. – Thursday was the National Day of Prayer, and in Cleveland, a collaborative prayer service with five local church leaders was held.
Originally planned to be held in Freedom Park, weather forced the event to be moved to the Cleveland Fire Station next door.
Jeff Groves, pastor from the Bridge Church in Cleveland, stated at the beginning of the service, “We meet in different buildings throughout, you know, and every Sunday and throughout the week, but we’re trying to do something together, and this is just a sign of that and what, you know, we want to do. We want to reach people for Jesus Christ.”
The event began with singing, and corporate prayer followed. After 4 of the leaders prayed, a time of small-group prayer was held. The service finished with a prayer and a final song.
