Tallulah Falls soccer, baseball combine for 15 All-Region selections, multiple awards

TALLULAH FALLS — Tallulah Falls School athletes collected 15 All-Region selections and multiple postseason honors across girls soccer, baseball and boys soccer, highlighted by several First Team selections and a Coach of the Year award.

Girls soccer places six on All-Region teams

The Lady Indians placed six players on the All-Region list.

Junior forward LB Kafsky, senior forward Bailey Crumley and senior defender Sarah Lundy earned First Team honors.

Kafsky led the team with 22 goals and five assists, adding two hat tricks. The Clarkesville junior is a three-time First Team All-Region selection and enters her senior season with 57 career goals.

Crumley led the Lady Indians with 10 assists and added five goals, including a hat trick. She set the school single-match record with five assists and holds the program career assists record with 31.

Lundy contributed a goal and an assist while anchoring the defense. The Clarkesville senior is a two-time All-Region selection and a Class 1A DiVarsity Student Athlete of the Year.

Second Team honors went to junior defender Narissa Dawson, sophomore midfielder Marta Beltran and sophomore midfielder Jocelyn Hall.

Baseball lands nine All-Region selections

The Indians baseball team earned nine All-Region selections, including three First Team, two Second Team and two Honorable Mention nods.

Senior utility player Ashton Roache led the First Team group. He hit .483 with four home runs, 36 RBIs, 47 runs scored and a school-record 16 doubles. He also stole 28 bases. Roache closes his career as the program’s all-time leader in hits, home runs, RBIs, runs, doubles, triples, stolen bases, walks and hit-by-pitch.

Junior pitcher/outfielder Drew Barron posted seven wins with a 3.54 ERA and 55 strikeouts while also batting .310 with two home runs and 16 RBIs.

Junior Jordan Miller hit .440 with 40 hits and a school-record 47 runs scored. He added 18 RBIs and 24 stolen bases.

Second Team honors went to senior Alex Stefanovic and freshman Leslie Sands.

Stefanovic hit .276 with two home runs and 18 RBIs, while Sands batted .284 with 22 RBIs in his freshman campaign.

Honorable Mention selections included senior Jackson Savage and freshman Sean Forbes.

Savage hit .360 with 31 hits and 20 RBIs, while Forbes hit .286 with a home run, 14 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.

Boys soccer places nine on All-Region list, earns Coach of the Year

The Indians boys soccer team, which advanced to the Elite Eight after a first-round playoff win, placed nine players on the All-Region list after a 16-1 season.

Tallulah Falls placed four players on the First Team, including senior Petar Gromiko, sophomore Simon Gainzarain Hernando, junior Fabricio Turner Sandoval and junior Tyson Hall.

Gromiko recorded eight goals and seven assists while playing multiple positions due to injuries. Gainzarain Hernando led the team in assists with 12 and added 12 goals. Turner Sandoval finished with 12 goals and 11 assists. Hall posted four goals and five assists.

Second Team selections included senior striker Versean Turnquest, junior defender Francisco Moreira Cardosa Mori Vierira, freshman defender Ian Borchers and junior midfielder Kale Borchers.

Turnquest led the team with 19 goals and added five assists. Moreira Cardosa Mori Vierira contributed four goals and three assists. Ian Borchers added two goals from the back line, while Kale Borchers finished with nine goals and five assists.

Head coach Jeremy Stille was named Coach of the Year after leading Tallulah Falls to a region title, the program’s fourth straight. He has also surpassed 100 career wins and earned his third Coach of the Year honor at the school.
