CLEVELAND, Ga. – A White County School bus was involved in a minor accident Tuesday afternoon, October 13.

Superintendent Jonathan Stribling said the bus, carrying 18 middle and high school students, was involved in a minor accident near the 400 block of Pine Road off Partin Road while on its afternoon route.

The accident was reported to White County 9-1-1 at 3:49 PM. Stribling said White County High School Principal Steve Horton, along with several other school officials and first responders, reported to the scene.

According to Stribling, no injuries were reported. After Georgia State Patrol cleared the scene, students were transferred to another bus and transported home.

“I am thankful for our public safety partners and their swift response. Our school district is safer because we have well-trained city, county, and state professionals responding to incidents and looking out for the health and safety of our students and staff,” said Stribling.
