Man killed in Dawson County shooting; suspect sought

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — A person is dead after a shooting Tuesday night in Dawson County, and deputies are searching for a suspect they say is armed and dangerous.
The shooting happened March 24 in the area of Highway 136 just west of Keith Evans Road, according to the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say the victim died from their injuries. Officials have not yet released the victim’s name.

Investigators say the victim and suspect knew each other, and there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.

The suspect has been identified as Roy “JoJo” Holloway. Deputies say he fled the scene, and his current location is unknown. While investigators believe he may have left the area, they are urging residents to remain alert.

Authorities believe 43-year-old Ariel Decarli may be with Holloway and said she is wanted for questioning.
