A LaGrange 13-year-old is in custody facing multiple charges after stabbing another middle school student with scissors Monday August 24, 2026. The incident occurred at Gardner Newman Middle School according to the LaGrange Police Department.
A School Resource Officer was made aware of a physical altercation that occurred between two juvenile students. While conducting the investigation of the incident, SRO Hatcher learned that the offender stabbed the victim several times with scissors, causing several injuries to the victim. The victim is also a 13-year-old juvenile.
The offender is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and disrupting public school. This investigation remains active and ongoing.
