HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch was arrested on Friday and charged with driving under the influence, according to jail records.
Sources tell Now Georgia Couch was arrested after reportedly running his vehicle into a ditch.
The 63-year-old Couch was booked into jail on a charge of DUI – alcohol/less safe, open container, and failure to maintain lane. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Bond was set at $1,560.
Now Georgia reached out to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office multiple times but has not heard back from them. This is a developing story and will be updated as new information is released.
