Hall County home destroyed in afternoon fire

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Three people were displaced after a house fire destroyed a home Saturday afternoon on Eston Smith Road, according to Hall County Fire Rescue.

Crews responded around 4 p.m. on March 21 to the 4500 block of Eston Smith Road, where first-arriving units found a single-family home fully involved in flames.

Firefighters began attacking the fire from the exterior and used a tanker shuttle operation to supply water as crews worked to bring the blaze under control.

The home was declared a total loss. Three adults who lived in the residence were displaced, and the American Red Cross was notified to assist them.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
