
DAHLONEGA, Ga. — More than 100 students from Habersham County earned academic honors at the University of North Georgia during the fall 2025 semester, including recognition on the Dean’s List, President’s Honor Roll and President’s List, the university announced.
Dean’s list
Dean’s List recognition is awarded to students who earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 while carrying 12 or more credit hours in a semester, with no grade lower than a B.
Students from Alto named to the Dean’s List are Destiny Martin, Charlotte Sanford, Maria Machado Colina, Gabriella Nix, Maria Guevara Giraldo, Kylie Gaeta, Yarixa Paramo, Jack Carson and Jenna Haley.
From Clarkesville, honorees include Alyze Grippe, Sydney Griffith, Everett VanOrman, Camila Aguilera, Adeline Higbie, Jacob Worley, Abigail Taylor, Madison Gabrels, Stephen Tomasovich, Jimena Aguilar and Samuel Morris.
Cornelia students earning Dean’s List honors are Christopher Buckley, Danica Inkeo, Kelsie Payne, Angelica Pascual Jose, Marisol Calderon-Gonzalez, Maria Ramirez, Addison Shubert, Caroline Way, Danna Calderon, Emily Elias-Lopez, Samantha Ray, Cole Gary and Jonathan Guerrero.
Recognized from Demorest are Audrey Martin, Emma Hare, Katelyn Vieira, Bethany Bruning, Joseph Aguilar, Noah Wikle, Moises Nolasco Paramo, Alexandra Meagher and Madeline McMullan.
Mount Airy honorees include Jennifer Mendoza, Emilee Oliver, Annabelle Clark, Asher Nations, Johnathan Trejo, Gracilyn Hart and Madison Almond.
Presidential honor roll
In addition to Dean’s List honors, UNG President Michael P. Shannon recognized students who earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average during the fall semester. Students enrolled in bachelor’s degree programs were named to the President’s Honor Roll, while associate degree and dual enrollment students meeting the same standard were named to the President’s List.
Alto students named to the President’s Honor Roll are Faith Black, Bhrett Kaminski, William Redding, Shyann Sosebee, Abbey Donaldson, Angie Ramirez and Andrea Caudell.
Clarkesville honorees include Timothy Caudell, Allie Church, Emily Church, Jaelyn Dills, Madelyn Dills, Ava Grant, Turner Grimmett, Casey Howard, Anna Lee, Brandi Pitts, Hailey Wade, Brianna Butler, Hunter Acker and Dawson Hicks.
From Cornelia, students recognized on the President’s Honor Roll are Luz Escamilla Martinez, Olivia Madison, Kassidy Murray, Nolan Penick, Brian Rojo, Brooke Scherer, Hannah Welborn and Brittany Wiley.
Demorest students earning President’s honors include Diego Gonzalez, who was named to the President’s List, along with Samuel Arrowood, Hazel Bugulrow, Chloe Erwin, Juana Hernandez, Grace Moore, John Popham, Patrick Ramsey, Madison Taylor, Connor Wheeler, Tia Wheeler, Ethan Simmons and Valeria Hernandez, who were named to the President’s Honor Roll.
Mount Airy honorees include Elisabeth Coffey, John Conley, Matthew Anderson, Brooklyn Reed and Faith Oxner.
