Grand Jury indicts 34, including Cleveland man charged with assault

CLEVELAND, Ga. — The White County Grand Jury handed down 34 indictments during its October term.

42-year-old Jason Alan Hrdlicka of Cleveland is among those indicted. White County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hrdlick on April 14 on multiple charges, including:

  • two counts of obstructing law enforcement officers;
  • two counts of aggravated assault against a peace officer;
  • aggravated assault;
  • violation of a family violence order;
  • two counts of cruelty to children in the 3rd degree;
  • fleeing or attempting to elude police;
  • no insurance;
  • failure to maintain lane;
  • safety belt violation (adult);
  • speeding in excess of maximum limits;
  • DUI;
  • expired registration;
  • driving while license suspended or revoked (misdemeanor).

The jury, after hearing evidence presented to them, voted against indicting Ashanti Renee Cantrell on aggravated assault charges.
