HALL COUNTY, Ga. — A 64-year-old Gainesville man died Monday afternoon following a single-vehicle wreck on Clarks Bridge Road in northern Hall County, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer B.J. Williams said the crash happened just after 1 p.m. Monday, May 25, near Maynard Circle.
According to the investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit, Richard Allian Lamon was traveling northbound on Clarks Bridge Road in a 1997 Lincoln Town Car when he attempted to negotiate a curve in the roadway.
Investigators said the vehicle left the paved roadway, struck a tree and sideswiped a utility pole.
Lamon was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville with critical injuries. Williams said Lamon died at the hospital shortly after 2:45 p.m.
