Due to the high possibility of rain this evening, the Demorest Downtown Development Authority has decided to cancel the Back to School Bash that was scheduled for this evening, August 4.
“It’s unfortunate, but I don’t think anyone is complaining about this cold front and temperatures,” said Demorest City Councilman Shawn Allen.
According to Allen, the event will not be rescheduled.
“We will probably incorporate some of the things planned into the next event on Halloween,” he said.
