The Columbus Police Department is investigating an early morning murder Monday June 22, 2026. The incident happened at 30th Avenue and Delta Street in South Columbus.
Muscogee County coroner Buddy Bryan pronounced the victim dead on the scene at 6:32 am. 20-year-old Jayveon Bell died from a gunshot wound according to the coroner. Bell’s body will be sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.
