The Lady Indians refused to give up the title of Region Champions and, on Thursday, made it back-to-back with a 3-0 win over Loganville Christian on the road. The region dominance includes winning four of the last five titles.
TFS (17-9), ranked #5 coming into the match, won its second match in a row against a top-10 opponent, as the Lions were ranked #6.
Tallulah won the opening set 25-21. Despite falling behind 11-5, TFS dug in defensively and had well-placed serves. The offense pelted the Lions repeatedly.
The Lady Indians won the second set 25-15 to take a commanding lead. They used an early lead to pull away and finished with a run of five at serve.
After seeing a 6-point lead in the third set, Tallulah went on a run. LCA stayed within two until TFS had a run and stretched the gap to 19-15. The final push gave Tallulah Falls the victory at 25-18.
Stella Bowman finished the match with 11 kills and two blocks. Corinne Swinton followed with nine kills and two blocks. Tori Crotta dropped six kills and two aces, while Shelby Whisnant finished with six kills and Finlee Ridlehoover dropped two aces.
