
CLEVELAND, Ga. – One person was arrested, and around an ounce of methamphetamine was seized following a tip to investigators.
In a news release from the White County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, officials stated that a tip was received on April 1

about a subject who was possibly trafficking methamphetamine into the White County area.
With that information, the White County Criminal Investigations and Crime Suppression units launched an investigation into the matter.
According to the release, investigators conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, which was being driven by 64-year-old Leonard Howard Beck of Dahlonega. During the stop, deputies found approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, which was located and seized.
Beck was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine. He is currently being held in the White County Detention Center without bond.
