
Charles Andrew Callaway, Jr., age 68 of Clarkesville, passed away July 26, 2026.
Born in Atlanta on July 14, 1958, Mr. Callaway was the son of Charles A. Callaway, Sr. and Freida McKibben Callaway of McDonough. After graduating from Georgia Tech, he pursued a career as a computer engineer which afforded him the opportunity to travel the world.  Chuck was an accomplished musician who played and recorded his own music which contributed to his love for 70’s rock. He enjoyed reading and watching documentaries and was a Star Wars fan. Above all, Chuck adored his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.  He loved to cook and spend time around a bonfire with good company.
In addition to his parents, survivors include daughters Stefanie Callaway of Clarkesville and Stacey Callaway; mother of his children Donna Callaway; brother Kevin Callaway of Granville; sister and brother-in-law Victoria and Danny Floyd of Covington; grandchildren Sam Berry, Tobias Kahle, Raef Oliver, Dane Oliver, Charlise Glover and Greenleigh Givens, as well as several nieces.
A gathering to celebrate Chuck’s life will be announced at a later date.
