Lagrange fans gave their “Idol” Philmon Lee a big sendoff Saturday as he heads to Hollywood. Signs, billboards, people lining the streets, and an escort from the Troup County Sheriff’s Department brought cheers and encouragement to vote for PJ, as he is known by family and friends.

Tonight’s episode will feature the second half of the Top 20 performances at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii. This pre-recorded episode will showcase the remaining 10 contestants of the Top 20 performing for America’s vote.
Voting for this round opens at the start of tonight’s American Idol broadcast starting at 8:00 pm on ABC/WTVM. The results of the public vote that decide who moves forward will be revealed during the first Live Show in Hollywood on Monday, March 30.
Since it’s been a couple of weeks since you’ve heard PJ sing on Idol, this is a reminder of his vocal range on Can’t You See by the Marshall Tucker Band.
One of his biggest cheerleaders understandably is his mom, Kristi Terry.
“I’m seeing the growth of my son. He can sing anything from pop music to rock and soul, and he is developing his own style. This opportunity gives America the chance to see what his talents really are,” said Kristi.

Viewers can cast up to 50 total votes (10 per platform) across the following methods:
- Online: At americanidol.com/vote.
- American Idol App: Available for download on mobile devices.
- Social Media: Real-time voting via official American Idol accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok by commenting on pinned “Official Vote Videos”.
- Text Message: By texting a contestant’s assigned number to 21523. Philmon Lee’s number is 11.
Results from these performances will be revealed next week when the competition will be trimmed down to the Top 14.
Philmon Lee fans are invited to join a Watch Party tonight at 134 Main in Lagrange. It begins at 7:00 pm.
