
DEMOREST — The Piedmont University Singers will present their spring concert, “Celestial Lights,” this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Piedmont University Chapel.
Under the direction of Bobby Ivey, the ensemble will perform a program centered on themes of love and light, featuring works by composers including Joseph Haydn, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Ola Gjeilo, György Orbán and Morten Lauridsen.
The concert will also feature Dr. Heejin Park, collaborative pianist and instructor of music in the university’s Conservatory of Music.
The auditioned group includes 30 singers representing a range of academic disciplines across campus, including both music majors and non-music majors.
The event is free and open to the public, including Piedmont faculty, staff and students.
