Are you turning a chair and cheering for AJ Robinson on The Voice and casting a vote for Philmon “PJ” Lee as your next American Idol?
AJ, the 15-year-old singing sensation from Columbus, heads into the Battle Round on John Legend’s team. The show airs on WLTZ NBC38 at 9:00 pm. He will be performing tonight with another member of Team Legend, Lucas West.
AJ got a boost over the weekend when he performed at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center Saturday night. A packed house turned out for a hometown rising star at a free concert. It sets the tone for what will likely be a “battle of talents” in the next round of competition.
Meanwhile, Philmon Lee, called PJ by his family and friends, has moved on to American Idol’s Top 20 after his last round at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Tonight and next week’s competition are still being hosted at the resort. American Idol airs on WTVM at 8:00 pm.
The Top 20 competition is being split between tonight, March 16, and next Monday, March 23. PJ will sing next week and will need your vote to continue in the competition.

Viewers can go to @AmericanIdol on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok when voting is open, and comment on the pinned official voting post for that night with the name of the finalist they want to vote for.
There is another American Idol Watch Party being planned for PJ in Lagrange at 134 Main Restaurant in Lagrange on Monday, March 23.
