Pedestrian struck and killed by train in Lula

LULA, Ga. — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal train-pedestrian collision that occurred Thursday afternoon in Lula.

Deputies and Hall County Fire Rescue responded around 3 p.m. on Feb. 26 to the intersection of McLeod Street and Main Street after receiving reports that a man had been struck by a train.

The man died at the scene, authorities said.

Investigators with the sheriff’s office responded to process the scene. Norfolk Southern Railway temporarily halted train traffic in the area while authorities conducted their investigation.
