On January 23, 2026, the Lee County Detention Center investigations unit received information about an inmate in the Lee County Detention Center soliciting a minor child under the age of 18. Investigators recovered evidence confirming the allegations.

On January 28, 2026, inmate Jordan Mikel Bulger (18) of Opelika was charged with one count of Electronic Solicitation of a Child, a class B Felony with a $30,000.00 bond. He remains in the Lee County Detention Center with no bond due to unrelated charges including FTA for Assault 1st Degree and FTA for Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm.
