
Jackson County School Resource Officers arrested a male student from West Jackson Middle School on Friday, April 25, following an investigation into alleged incidents that took place on campus over the past two days, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities did not specify the details of the incidents.
Authorities charged the juvenile with terroristic threats and acts, as well as disruption of a public school. After the arrest, police say the student was transported to the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center.
School officials and law enforcement emphasized that they take all threats seriously and continue to investigate the situation.
This marks the fourth school-related incident Now Habersham has reported on since this week. The other incidents involved schools in Hall County.
